即便在现代社会，它们依然存在。然而….守护人类免受妖魔侵害之人亦同时存在。这群被称为"退魔师"的战士，自远古时代便持续与妖魔抗争。位居退魔师顶点的四大名门之﹣﹣桐生家的退魔师「桐生一华」。她从前任家主母亲手中继承了第十八代家主之位。作为退魔师与第十八代家主，一华为守护人类而与妖魔战斗。但暗地里，被称为茨鬼的妖魔正在酝酿邪恶阴谋……
